EUROVISION WEEK ♡ DAY #3 – Kris at The Israeli Party in Kyiv

During the Eurovision season 2017, Kris actually attended all the preparties ..! That involved a lot of travelling and little sleep, but also a lot of great new experiences.

In Kyiv, he also attended the Israeli Eurovision Party, which was held on May 8th in the Euroclub. There were many other artists performing as well, like the French, Estonian, German, Dutch, Austrian, Romanian, Macedonian, Serbian and Israeli contestants.

The video of Kris performing Beautiful Mess at the Israeli Eurovision Party in Kyiv was posted on YouTube May 9th, exactly one year ago today. Enjoy!

TBT – “If I ain’t got you” cover at “Остров.ру” festival (2014)

In today’s Throwback Thursday we will go back to 2014 when Kris performed “If I ain’t got you” by Alicia Keys at Festival held in Naro-Fominsk, Russia. He has performed this song few times, one of them in the audition for “The Voice Kids” when he chose Dima Bilan to be his coach and became one of the finalists later.

Kris and Neposedy performing at the ESC 2009 Opening Party

In Kris‘ Eurovision 2018 Top 10 video, there was something that caught our attention:
“(…) Eurovision 2009, I think it was, in Russia actually, and I was opening it with an act (…) It was, it IS a fun story, I don’t wanna explain everything, but…”

Russia hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009, after Dima Bilan won in 2008. On May 10th there was a Red Carpet Opening Party in the Eurodom, attracting thousands of guests from all over Europe. There were several former winners of the ESC performing, and it turns out, so was the Russian children’s music group Neposedy (Непоседы).

Kris was a member of Neposedy from around the age of 6 until the age of 11, and in the Eurovision Potpourri he was playing the part of a member of the group ABBA. They had already performed their Eurovision Potpourri at the Russian national selection as well as at the draw for the running order of the semis and the final, and now it was time to enter the big stage in front of a large international audience!

In 2009, the winner was Norway’s Alexander Rybak (fun fact: Fairytale got 2 points from Bulgaria). Alexander is taking part again this year, and even made it to number 8 on Kris’ list of Top 10 entries for 2018. Kris has mentioned wanting to go to the ESC as an audience, who knows – maybe he’ll get to meet Alexander in Lisbon next week?

We have found the videos of the performances at both the Russian national selection and the Opening Party. Enjoy!

Kris’ new YouTube video – “EUROVISION-2018 MY TOP 10”

For some days ago, Kris uploaded a new video of his Top 10 in this year’s Eurovision on his YouTube channel. Where he reacts to his favorite entries this year but the video got blocked because of copyright on the Bulgarian song. The copyright got removed today after he talked to Bulgarian team. I’m so happy the copyright got removed this fast.

I agree with some of the opinions he has, especially for his number one Bulgaria! My favorite reaction from him have to been Israel or Norway.

Enjoy the video below and make sure to check the site tomorrow for an amazing TBT post by our newest member in the KKD Team, Lina.
