Kristian started singing and playing piano when he was around 6 years old. He was very shy as kid, to sing and play piano helped him to open up a little. By that time he also joined the Moscow-based vocal group Neposedi, which has also gathered Russian duet t.A.t.U for the first time.

He left the vocal group in 2011 to focus on his solo career, became one of the resident artists in Jazz Parking, a widely known jazz project in Moscow. He won the Grand Prix in Sound Kids 2012. The same year he became a finalist of the international singing contest New Wave Junior.

In January 2014, he became one of the finalists in The Voice Kids Russia, a junior version of The Voice. By the age of 15, he had already worked with famous Russian singers such as Dima Bilan, Rodion Gazmanov, Julia Nachalova, Jukebox Trio and many more.

He and his dance crew KrisKrew performed at his first grand-scale gig at Stadium Live in Moscow in 2015, grossing over 4 thousand people. In the same year, he became one of the youngest participants in The X-Factor Bulgaria after the final, he signed a contract with Virginia Records, which is Bulgaria’s biggest music label. He had his big European breakthrough in May 2017 when he sang his song Beautiful Mess at Eurovision Song Contest after he had been selected by Bulgarian National Television to be Bulgaria’s represent in Kiev, Ukraine. He became the first contestant to be born in 2000. He finished as runner-up in the grand final, which is Bulgaria’s best placing at Eurovision Song Contest so far.

After Eurovision he got the chance and the honor to perform his song You Got Me Girl in the final of Miss World 2017 together with the contestants on stage in China, Sanya. His performance was viewed in more than 200 countries with viewing figures topping 1 billion.

Because of his fandom #TeamKris he has won a several awards after the contest, he calls us in #TeamKris his second family. The biggest awards he has won so far are the Bulgarian and Public Choice-award that he got in his hands in January 2018 at the European Border Breakers Awards 2017 ceremony in Groningen, The Nederlands. He was the first winner from Bulgaria to ever winning that award.
